1. Description of Service

Sober Motivation is a mobile application and community platform designed to support individuals pursuing an alcohol-free lifestyle. The Service includes:

• Sobriety tracking tools
• Journaling features
• Live peer support meetings
• Community channels and messaging
• Podcast content
• Coaching services (optional)

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sober Motivation. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Community Guidelines

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Treat all members with kindness and respect
• Not consume alcohol or substances during live meetings
• Not post images of alcohol in the app
• Not harass, bully, or discriminate against other members
• Not share harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
• Respect that everyone is at a different place in their journey

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including journal entries, posts, and messages ("Your Content"). By posting content to community areas, you grant us a license to display it within the Service.

Your journal entries remain private and are not shared with other users.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier:

Basic features are available at no cost.

Paid Tiers:

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple App Store, Google Play, or our website.

Free Trials:

We may offer a free trial to new subscribers. The trial length and the price you will be charged afterward are always shown before you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at the displayed price. Free trials are limited to one per Apple account. If you cancel during the trial, you keep premium access until the trial ends, and your account then returns to the free tier. You always keep your account, your journal, and community access.

Cancellation:

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues through the end of your billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

7. Disclaimer of Medical Advice

SOBER MOTIVATION IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE. We are a peer support community, not healthcare providers.

• We do not provide medical, psychiatric, or professional addiction treatment
• Our coaches are peer supporters, not licensed therapists
• If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911
• If you are in crisis, contact SAMHSA (1-800-662-4357) or Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741)

Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sober Motivation and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
